Jones first gay to Latinos Salud when it was located at its second, smaller space on Wilton Drive. That led them to start getting HIV tested. Latinos Salud exists to reduce the burden of communicable diseases in South Florida by helping Latino guys and their partners stay safe from, or live healthier with HIV.

When Latinos Salud first opened, its clientele was “% young gay Latino,” says Fallon, originally from Lexington, Massachusetts. Just massive growth. It was like a living room. If you were to go anywhere else, you're kind of just a number.

At Latinos Salud, our mission is to reduce the burden of communicable diseases in South Florida's LGBT communities, especially (but not only) amongst gay Latinos. The multi-county agency’s total operating budget inincluding 54 employees, was $26 million.
